Министерство спорта Российской федерации приказом от 17 сентября 2022 года утвердило прилагаемый федеральный стандарт спортивной подготовки по виду спорта «велосипедный спорт». Приказы Минспорта от 2013 года об утверждении федеральных стандартов по виду спорта «велоспорт-маунтинбайк», «велоспорт-шоссе», «велоспорт-трек», «велоспорт-ВМХ» признаны утратившими силу.
